Ray Fisher
Weekend Sports Anchor
Ray graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications. While in college, he landed his first on air job at KALB-TV in Alexandria, Louisiana as a weekend reporter. During that same time, he was also working as a traffic manager at WVLA-TV in Baton Rouge.
Shortly after graduation, Ray joined WAFB-TV in Baton Rouge to work as a writer and producer. After two years of working on non-traditional sports stories Ray took a weekend sports anchor position at WITN-TV in Greenville, North Carolina. While at WITN-TV, Ray had the pleasure of meeting Michael Jordan during a celebrity golf tournament.
Ray comes to Houston from WAFB-TV in Baton Rouge, where he was a sports reporter and an anchor. Ray is a member of the Society or Professional Journalists and the Asian American Journalists Association.
