Woman Found Guilty in Attempted Murder of Cop
Tamina Hamid Convicted

July 24, 2008

HOUSTON —

A woman accused of trying to kill a local officer has been found guilty. Dash cam video from the June 2006 high-speed chase through Fort Bend County was compelling evidence for the jury. 27-year-old Tamina Hamid fired shots out the window at the officers chasing her and 36-year-old Joseph Lee Flores. Flores was the driver during that chase. He was tried and convicted for attempted capital murder last month and sentenced to life in prison. Thursday, a jury convicted Tamina Hamid of attempted capital murder and aggravated robbery. The punishment phase of the her trial begins Friday.
